Tania Mekhjian Villalba
Tania Mekhjian Villalba received her undergraduate degree from New York University located in Manhattan and her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
While at NYU, Tania was selected to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate (C.A.S.A.) promoting the rights of children in the New York City foster care system. Tania chose to become a lawyer based on this experience of aiding children by giving them a voice in court. In addition, she was a lobbyist for the National Committee For Adoption in Washington D.C. advocating adoption related issues on Capitol Hill.
At Widener University School of Law, Tania was chosen to participate in the Pennsylvania Civil Law Clinic to assist the public with legal issues such as landlord-tenant, worker’s compensation and employment discrimination. She also served as the law clerk for the national defense counsel of Ingersoll-Rand involving asbestos litigation.
Tania is currently exclusively practicing in the area of pharmaceutical tort litigation by developing the cases of injured clients. She has previous private practice experience in matrimonial and family law, estate planning, wills, bankruptcy and general civil law. Tania is admitted to the Supreme Court of New Jersey and to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Tania, her spouse, Mike and their three children reside in Southbury, Connecticut.
